Organization Description:

The Deering Estate is a 450+ acre public park/museum managed by the Miami-Dade County Parks Recreation & Open Spaces department. It preserves the 1920s-era Miami estate of Charles Deering, Chicago industrialist, early preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, philanthropist, and first chairman of the International Harvester Company. Nestled along the coast in South Dade, the Deering Estate is a cultural asset and historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Deering Estate Volunteer

Job Description:

The Deering Estate is dedicated to preserving and protecting historic buildings, natural ecosystems, native plants, and wildlife throughout the estate through wise stewardship and best conservation management practices. Volunteers will assist the staff with these efforts as well as help welcome visitors to the estate at special events throughout the year.
