Kristi House is dedicated to treating and preventing child sexual abuse, trafficking, and other childhood trauma, working closely with community partners, parents, and providers. The Children’s Advocacy Center is comprised of seven partner agencies involved in meeting the legal, medical, and emotional needs of child victims of abuse and sex trafficking, and holds the perpetrators responsible. |

Job Description |
Waiting Room Ambassadors- Volunteers play an important role in putting children at ease and encouraging them to return to the Center for therapy and other appointments. Children arriving often must wait while their parents or family members are attending appointments. While waiting, children are greeted by volunteers who provide structured activities to engage them and lessen their anxiety while in the playroom/waiting area. Waiting Room Volunteers have access to a wide variety of educational and recreational resources when serving as ambassadors in the play/waiting area. When there are no children in the waiting room, there will be other admin/organizational tasks around the office. |
Certifications |
A police Clearance Letter must be obtained from local police prior to volunteering. Background Check/Fingerprinting may be required. |
